Odds are good that he’ll be better than me in every way, as he’s older and has more experience in the field, but still, it feels odd training someone so that they can take over your job. Oh well, three weeks until I’m finished. Post Porsches or whatever.

when me boss told me i had to train up me replacement i just walked out 3 weeks early (course in my case i actually had to train up a dude from scratch for a position they had told me for me 3 years would be mine once the agency contract ran out)

Oh, I’m good with it. My boss has known that I’ll be leaving for a month now (and to be honest, since I got there), I just have to give them enough warning so they can set up clearances and make sure my replacement is competent.

Nah, no worries, I’m not a huge Porsche fan. And that doesn’t look happy, that looks angry.

At least it’s not a temp or H1b making less than half of what you make/made

I don’t know why I did this, but it happened.

Nah, but with how quickly we cycle through employees, we all might as well be considered temps.

The last one looks the best.

I’ve spent the last two months training the new employee who got the job I was hoping to be promoted to. It’s very odd because on a daily basis she asks me for advice, or reminders on how to do things, and yet she’s meant to be my superior.
Also I found out recently that a big part of why I wasn’t promoted is that one of the higher ups thinks I’m too immature because he saw me doing donuts in a dirt parking lot like a year ago.

Well that’s petty.

I trained my replacement and they laid him off 3 weeks after I left. I left just in time.

Yikes. Sounds like you did.

Bless you, my son. You’re doing the righteous work.

I’ve trained several replacements as a result of moving departments... I fucking hated it. I’m impressed by the number of people who don’t know how to do a job yet but seem to have a lot to say about it.

That gets you promoted where I work

Your Porsche looks sick.

It has a... splitting headache. Or whatever.

4/10 for the pun but 5/7 for the follow up failure to commit.

Can I have an application?

The “or whatever” was in reference to the last sentence of original post. It’s not a Porsche so it falls into the “or whatever.”

Ah, gotcha.
